Putin: Russia–Israel trade turnover rises 50% in Jan–Jul

SOCHI, Krasnodar Region, Oct 22 (PRIME) -- Trade turnover between Russia and Israel increased 50% in January–July despite the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, President Vladimir Putin said at a meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennet on Friday.

“In the first seven months of this year, trade turnover increased 50%, despite all the pandemic restrictions,” Putin said.

The volume of trade and economic relations continues to develop successfully, and the two countries have some promising areas for cooperation, he said.

Putin also said that the high technologies sector is one of the most promising areas for cooperation between the two states.
